We report a case of sclerosing hemangioma of the lung , found incidentally as a solitary mass on chest roentgenogram in an asymptomatic 59 years old woman. Surgical excision and pathological examination of the mass was perfomed. Grossly, the lesion was a well circumscribed tumor with greater diameter 2 cm. The tumor showed a variable histological appearance, consisting of the four major typical histological patterns of sclerosing hemangioma of the lung: solid, papillary, haemoragic and sclerotic. We also recognised focal neuroendocrine differentiation, based on the histological and immunohistochemical findings. Sclerosing hemangioma of the lung is a benign condition and its prognosis is excellent.

Key words: Sclerosing hemangioma, lung, papillary pneumonocytoma.
