Sclerosing perineurioma: a case report
Chariklia Kalekou-Greka
Dept of Pathology, St Paul General Hospital of Thessaloniki

A case of sclerosing perineurioma, a type of perineurioma first described by Fetch and Miettinen in 1997 as a soft tissue tumor with a predilection for the fingers and palms of young adults, is presented. The tumor was located on the index finger of the left hand of an 18 year old man and showed almost typical histologic and immunocytochemical characteristics with intense sclerosis. Knowledge of the special features of this lesion is useful in differentiating it from several other mostly benign lesions of the hands.

Key words: Perineurioma, sclerosing perineurioma, soft tissue.
