Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce you the INTRAEUROPEAN - MEDITERRANEAN CONFERENCE which will be held on May 8-10, 2003 at the beautiful Astir Palace Resort, by the sea of the suburb of Athens,Vouliagmeni. This Conference is organized by the Hellenic Division of IAP and has a tutorial character. Internationally well known experts are invited to give lectures and contribute to the success of this high level scientific event. The program is composed of 5 Workshops on 5 hot topics of Pathology, such as: Breast Cancer, Endometrial Cancer, Pigmented Lesions of the Skin, Diagnostic Molecular Pathology of solid tumors and Prostate Neoplasia. This Conference is mainly addressed to 4th or 5th year Residents and young Pathologists who need to increase their knowledge in these particular topics. I hope that our efforts to carry out this Conference will meet your expectations and this get together will be most profitable for all of us. At the end of the scientific program the members of the Board of the Hellenic Division will have the pleasure to host a Business Meeting of the Executive Committee of IAP and exchange with them ideas for a fruitful collaboration. I am sure that your participation will greatly contribute to he success of this Conference and I am wishing you to enjoy your stay with us.

Important Dates
Conference Dates: 8-10 May 2003
Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 1st, 2003
Acceptance and notification of abstracts: March 25th, 2003
Deadline for reduced registration fees: April 1st, 2003
Deadline for full payment of accommodation and tours: April 15th, 2003

Scientific Program-Information for Authors: The Conference Scientific Committee co-ordinates the main Scientific Program, which consists of Plenary Lectures, Workshops, Slide Seminars and Poster Presentations. Detailed information on the submission of abstracts is given on the Abstract Submission Form.

Book of Abstracts -Certificate of Attendance: The Book of Abstracts containing all abstracts and a list of authors in alphabetical order, as well as a Certificate of Attendance, will be distributed to all registrants when they collect their Conference Kit.

Conference Venue:The Conference will be held at the “Astir Palace Resort ”in Vouliagmeni, Athens: 40, Apollonos Ave., 166 71 Vouliagmeni, Tel: (+3)010 8902000.

Language: The official language of the Conference will be ENGLISH.

Liability and Insurance: The Organizers cannot be held responsible for any claim concerning liability, personal damage, loss, theft, illness, non appearance of speakers etc. We recommend participants and exhibitors to cover their risks by appropriate insurance. The Program is subject to change without notice.

Trade Exhibition: An exhibition of scientific products, pharmaceuticals, instruments, equipment and relevant materials will be organized at the Conference Venue. The trade exhibition will be adjacent to the conference hall. Participation is open to any interested company or organization.
