Ovarian tumors with transitional cell features are unusual neoplasms and the malignant Brenner tumors are extremely rare. A case of malignant Brenner tumor is presented in a 73 years old female developing in foci of proliferative type BT with recognition of benign islands. The histological criteria for a diagnosis of malignant Brenner tumor are discussed with emphasis on the differential diagnosis from primary ovarian transitional cell carcinoma and the immunohistïchemical phenotype of the neoplasm.

Key words: Ovary, Brenner Tumors, Malignant transitional cell carcinoma.
